Trash & Recycling Pickup
Waste Away Systems provides residential waste removal services for the Village of Dresden. Trash pickup is Friday and recycling is picked up the first and third Friday of every month.
Waste and recycling is to be left at the curb the evening before collection day. Recycling receptical is to be placed on the opposite side of the driveway from the waste receptical.
• One bulk item for curbside collection per week is allowed for no additional cost.
• Waste that is not in a container with a lid must be bagged, boxed, or bundled for collection and must weigh less than 50 pounds.
• All items for collection must be less than 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter and must weigh less than 50 pounds.
• Mattresses and boxsprings must be fully wrapped in plastic to be collected.
• Some holidays may require a one day delay in collection. Reference Waste Away Systems website for clarification.
The current monthly rate is $19.50 ($18.25 for those 65 years or older) per month for residential waste and recycle collection. One wheeled 96-gallon cart for waste and one wheeled 64 gallon cart for recycling (upon request) are included. Additional carts are available for an additional monthly charge.
